When you’re using your laptop, you need to be able to interact with it easily and comfortably, which means the mouse you choose matters quite a bit. The best laptop mouse will be comfortable to use whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, it’ll make it easy to maneuver around your screen and click through menu options smoothly, and it won’t cost an arm and a leg — especially if you’re looking to spend less than $200 on one. These are our top five favorite laptop mice that fit that bill!
1) Logitech MX Anywhere 2S
- Cross computer control
- Dual connectivity
- Hyper fast scrolling
- Works anywhere 4000 dpi Dark
This tiny mouse can connect to your computer or tablet via Bluetooth or a wireless USB dongle. It’s made for on-the-go use, and comes with a carrying case that will allow you to charge it on the go. But, unlike other travel mice, it doesn’t skimp on features: You get Logitech’s Darkfield high-accuracy sensor—which is great for use on glass and gives it better accuracy than even most optical mice—as well as customizable buttons, an RGB lighting system and a solid seven hours of battery life. All told, it’s one of our favorite laptop mice around.
2) HP X4000b Bluetooth Mouse
- X4000b Bluetooth Mouse
- Good for small hands
- Battery life is 48 hours
The HP X4000b is a wireless mouse that supports Bluetooth 3.0 and wired modes. The sensor can handle up to 2000 DPI (dots per inch), but isn’t as smooth as some mice at higher speeds. For everyday use, it’s great, and it’s cheaper than some other options out there right now. At under $50, it’s worth a look if you don’t want to spend too much money on your mouse purchase (though we also have recommendations below). It comes in blue or black depending on what you prefer.
3) Corsair Dark Core RGB SE Wireless Gaming Mouse
- Play with pinpoint accuracy
- Hyper-polling technology
- Nice finger Grip
The Corsair Dark Core RGB SE Wireless Gaming Mouse is what you should look for when you are looking for a gaming mouse that will meet your gaming needs and be comfortable to use. The ergonomic design of its looks great but feels even better to use. It has a high DPI range up to 16,000, eight programmable buttons and two side buttons, and RGB lighting with lots of customizable options. If you want quality at an affordable price point, then look no further than Corsair’s wireless gaming mouse. With an ambidextrous design for both left-handed and right-handed users and 10 hours of battery life on a single charge, it provides some fantastic features that are sure to improve your gaming experience from top to bottom.
4) SteelSeries Rival 300 CS:GO Hyper Beast Edition
SteelSeries makes a wide range of gaming peripherals, but their most popular mouse is still their Sensei line. The Sensei 310 is a good all-around choice if you want solid performance and don’t mind making some trade-offs to get it. It’s not quite as responsive as other mice on our list and is probably best suited for righties, but has customizable buttons to make it workable for lefties. At just over $100, it feels like one of your better options in terms of value. Its lowest user rating on Amazon is 3/5 stars, with most reviews in the 4/5 star range.
5) SteelSeries Sensei 310 Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse
SteelSeries is one of those companies that create some of the best gaming mice on the market. The Sensei 310 offers a sensor speed of up to 12,000 DPI with max acceleration of 30g, an ergonomic design and comes equipped with nine customizable buttons for all your macros, plug-ins and profiles you’d like to use. It also sports eight different DPI settings. All in all, it’s a great mouse for gamers or power users who want something simple yet effective with little adjustments needed. The only con here is that it can be a little heavy to carry around but really – if you’re using your laptop, chances are you don’t need portability anyways.
